Chimney Flue Fire Damage Repaired

SERVPRO of Roanoke Rapids responded to this home damaged in Roxboro, NC due to a fire in homeowners the Chimney Flue. The fire department came to help put the fire out, and that also caused water damage in the process. Water with ash and soot were treated as CAT 3 water. The water and fire caused damage to the Attic, Living room paneling and drywall in the foyer, as well as the crawlspace. Our techs tore out Sheetrock in the entry of the house and living room. They also removed insulation from the crawl space. We set up dehumidifiers to help dry everything out along with air scrubbers and hydroxyl generators to help with the smell of smoke. Once the house was fully dry, our techs focused on cleaning up the soot damage.
